John Roach Center Auditorium
Seating nearly 200 people in stadium-style chairs, this John Roach Center (JRC) Auditorium is ideal for media presentations and guest lecturers.
The JRC Auditorium is location in the John Roach Center for Liberal Arts, previously named the Albertus Magnus Hall. The building was completed in 1947. The Summit Avenue Landmark was renovated in 2000, and named for Archbishop John R. Roach, who served as chairman of the St. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ board of trustees for 20 years. The $9.8 million renovation project left the exterior of the Collegiate Gothic, Mankato stone structure only slightly changed, but the interior was gutted and rebuilt. The amphitheater-like Auditorium was ben renovated from top to bottom, including larger and more comfortable seats with folding desk arms. The room has a teaching station, complete with a wet sink for science lectures, and was fitted with all new electronics.
Hourly visitor parking is available in the Anderson Student Center Garage or the McNeely Ramp after 5 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends. Hourly visitor parking is available anytime at the nearby Anderson Parking Facility.
