Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person.

Members of the St. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ should take action to protect themselves and others from infection.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after you are exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 and can include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should get tested.

Students and employees who test positive for COVID-19 are expected to follow

If you test positive for COVID, you may return to normal activities when,

  • for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and
  • if a fever was present, it has been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication

Once you resume normal activities, for the next 5 days you are encouraged to take additional prevention strategies such as,

  • wearing a well-fitting mask
  • keeping a distance from others
  • washing hands often
  • and/or getting tested for respiratory viruses
