  When: Tuesday, November 18th 2025, 8:00 am EST - Friday, November 21st 2025, 5:00 pm EST Location: Virtual Teacher Recruitment Job FairNovember 18-21, 2025Virtual Interviews from 9:00 am -- 5:00 pm We are offering virtual interviews for qualified candidates for certain positions to start immediately or August 2026. Registration will be open through November 13,  2025.To register for the job fair, please apply through the external registration link. Once registered, your application will be reviewed to determine if you qualify for an interview. If approved, you will be notified that one virtual interview will be granted and you will be matched with an interviewer based on your provided availability. You will receive an email confirming your interview date, time, and format. You may register anytime before midnight on the closing date.  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer as all instructional opportunities are in-person, located in Hampton, VA.  Completion of a bachelor's degree AND additional requirements (coursework and/or praxis) necessary to obtain a teaching license. Preference given to those who have completed an approved teacher prep program and possess or are eligible for a teaching license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs.  Experience working with students in a classroom setting (does not apply to current HCS employees). Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Excellent organizational, planning, and human relations skills. Have knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of children. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and parents. Job offers may be made prior to the Teacher Recruitment Job Fair. SALARY: Associate(Unlicensed) Teachers with bachelors: $45,000; Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs.  Licensed/Licensed eligible teachers: Teacher scale -- commensurate with experience; starting salary 25/26 SY $56,750 & $59,350 for masters; 26/27 SY TBD; Possible sign-on bonus for Title I Schools.

Join Teach For America staff members for an upcoming informational session where you'll learn more about the paid opportunities we offer, the issue we are trying to tackle together, and how you can get involved. The first 30 minutes will address the most common questions we receive:  1. What is Teach For America? 2. What and where will I teach? 3. What will my salary and finances look like? 4. How does teacher certification work? 5. How will I be trained and supported? Our remaining time will be spent in open Q&A, at which point you can get your specific questions answered.
